PFAS has been getting more attention in recent years – and for good reason. These synthetic chemicals are commonly used to repel water, grease and dirt. You’ll find them in everything from non-stick pans to mascara. And yes, sometimes even in deodorant. We’ve chosen to leave PFAS out completely. Here’s why.
What is PFAS – and why do we avoid it?
PFAS (short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are man-made compounds known to persist in both the environment and the human body. Some types have been linked to potential health risks, including effects on the liver, immune system and hormonal balance. In cosmetics, PFAS can be used to create a water-resistant barrier – but to us, that’s simply not worth the trade-off. Not for your skin. Not for the planet.
What do we use instead?
Fero deodorants are made with carefully selected natural ingredients that work with your body – not against it. Things like coconut oil, shea butter and zinc help keep you fresh, without the need for harsh chemicals.
No PFAS. No parabens. No synthetic fragrances. Just what your skin needs – nothing else.
A conscious choice
Choosing Fero means choosing to leave out what doesn’t belong. It’s a small daily ritual that can make a big difference – for your body, your health and the world around you. We believe it should be easy to make better choices. And feel good doing it.
